First Upstate ISSA meeting

Symantec presented today. None of the technical data was all the special, many of the numbers I had heard about through the various Security Podcasts I listen to. The most important part to me about this meeting, aside for it being my first, is the difference between an older user (+30) and the younger user (-23). These younger users have grown up in a time where the internet has always existed, they are more likely to consume data from friends and other social means, than say read the newspaper.

Very little networking with other ISSA members occurred this meeting.

There will be a BackTrack5 Training course, which will occur at some-point.
